Job Overview
As a Personal Banker (Universal Banker II), you will perform a variety of paying and receiving functions for deposit and loan customers. Lend support in the development of new businesses, assist new and existing customers, and promote the image of the bank in the community. Assist with the loan process and accept loan applications. Be alert to the needs of the customers. This successful candidate will transition between customer services and the teller line in the course of a day based on customer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform the combined duties of a Head Teller and Customer Service Representative.
- Represents the Bank personably, efficiently, and tactfully while in contact with the public either face-to-face or by telephone. Always smiling, warmly welcoming customers, genuinely caring for customer concerns and always thanking the customer for their business.
- Balances individual teller drawer daily and within Bank guidelines, following Bank policies, procedures, and standards of performance.
- Consistently provide quality customer service in a professional manner, while managing personal sales efforts to ensure sales goals are being met.
- Open, maintain and close deposit accounts. Provides customer service and support in connection with all accounts. Opens IRA’s and processes Individual Retirement Accounts transactions.
- Maintains strong knowledge of all products and services. Cross-sells all products i.e. debit cards, car loans, personal loans, mortgages, home equity lines/loans, etc.
- Assists with the loan process including but not limited to accepting applications.
- Exercises initiative and judgment in researching, analyzing, and problem solving.
- Promote the image of the bank by participating in community-related and civic activities.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies as stated in the Bank’s Code of Conduct.
- Complete required training including regulatory, systems, and others as required by the supervisor based on job duties within the requested time periods.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of general banking experience
- Must be detail-oriented, and computer literate; possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact within all levels of the Bank.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
- Must possess a good work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions with customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40,600.00 per year
