Summer Program: ESY Special Education - Moody
Dates/Hours:
June 30th - August 7th
Monday - Thursday
8:00 am - 12:00 am (4 Hours)
Subject to change based on student enrollment; start and stop times
Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority:
Directly responsible to the Summer ESY Coordinator and/or the Executive Director of Student Support Services and/or his/her designee
Statement of Duties:
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide therapies for students in an extended year program.
- Prepare curriculum, lessons, schedules, and activities for children with and without special needs.
- Implement summer IEP and all educational classroom goals and objectives of assigned students.
- Encourage parent involvement, maintain parent contact.
- Provide support to students in pool if requested.
- Maintain all necessary records as per school system
- Provide a safe, healthy environment inside and outside for all children.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and/or his/her designees, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.
Qualifications:
- Candidates for all positions must maintain a current license by the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure – Allied Health Professionals.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Experience in extended year programs preferred.
- Ability to coordinate and work effectively with staff, parents and administration.
- Bilingual Preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
