Salary: In accordance with the Teachers’ Salary Scale according to education and experience. ($61,091 - $102,987)

Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority: Works under the supervision of the Executive Director of Student Services.
Statement of Duties:
- Performs psychological assessments and presents in an oral and written format.
- Screens referrals in conjunction with other designated school
personnel
- Participates in the pre-referral process as needed.
- Consults on a regular basis with classroom teachers regarding special needs students.
- Assists with crisis intervention.
- Performs other duties assigned by the District Principal or the Special Education Administrator, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee.
Qualifications:
- Licensed in Massachusetts as a School Psychologist.
- Licensed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary
Education as a School Psychologist – Required.
- Ed. in counseling or school psychology.
- Knowledge of integration and inclusive models of instruction.
- Knowledge of curriculum modifications, behavior management strategies, and learning styles.
- Bilingual Preferred.
- Ability to perform and interpret psychological evaluations.
- Ability to provide individual and small group therapy to the school-age students.
- Ability to work closely and harmoniously with parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Knowledge of special education programs and
regulations.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate.
