Cycle Counter

Pay: Starting at $17.50 an hour 

Schedule: Tuesday – Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 7am to 11am 

This is your Opportunity to: 

• Conduct daily cycle counts of Havertys inventory with precision.
• Identify and report any unaccounted inventory.
• Monitor and report excessive movements or improper storage of merchandise.
• Ensure safety by reporting any unsafe conditions on or around storage racks.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, including shortages and overages, as directed.
• Address and resolve inventory issues such as mis-tags, improper locations, and incorrect product movements.
• Inspect and report any damage to storage racks.
• Operate lift equipment as needed.
• Uphold and promote the company's safety culture by adhering to all safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

• Previous warehouse inventory or cycle counting experience preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures. 
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment such as a cherry picker or clamp truck and get certified (company paid). 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly receiving area. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. 
• Must comply with Havertys safety requirements. 
• Good communication skills. 
• Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift up to 150 lbs. 
• Team Player. 
• Ability to pass criminal background check, lifting assessment, and drug test including testing for THC. 
• Must complete and understand all company-sponsored safety programs. 

Work Environment: 

• Warehouse setting: must wear proper Havertys-provided uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable. 
•  Tuesday – Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 7am to 11am 

Physical Demands: 

• Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.  
• You must have the ability to frequently stand, walk, lift up to 150 lbs, bend, stoop, reach, climb, use lift equipment as needed, and maintain visual acuity for inventory inspection and safety.
