About The Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer with a strong background in automated testing to ensure the reliability of our software stack, spanning backend services in Go, frontend applications in React, and integration with autonomous vehicle software systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple layers of a technology stack and is excited by the challenge of testing software that interacts with real-world autonomous systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for backend services (Go) and frontend applications (React).
- Design and execute integration tests to validate interactions between various software components, including software running on autonomous vehicles.
- Collaborate with engineers throughout the development lifecycle to ensure software is designed with testability and quality in mind.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with engineers to resolve issues.
- Implement mocking, stubbing, and simulation techniques for effective autonomy software testing.
- Strong experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, TestCafe).
- Experience testing backend APIs (REST/gRPC) using tools like Postman, k6, or Gatling.
- Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing in Go and React (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Strong understanding of Linux-based testing environments and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms for test environments.
- Experience testing robotics, autonomous systems, or real-time software.
- Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or simulation testing for autonomy software.
- Familiarity with simulation frameworks for testing autonomous vehicles.
- Experience with security, compliance, or penetration testing for safety-critical systems.
- This position can be fully remote within the United States of America.
- The target salary range for this position is $90,000 - 125,000.
