About the Role:
HavocAI is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to oversee inventory management, logistics, procurement, and production support. This role ensures seamless material flow, operational efficiency, and cost optimization to support the company's mission-driven goals. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, coordinating with suppliers, and implementing best practices in material handling and lean manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Utilize ERP or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track material availability and forecast demand.
  • Optimize storage space by organizing materials efficiently.

Material Handling & Logistics

  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect materials for quality and quantity compliance, and document any discrepancies.
  • Store, label, and organize materials in designated areas to support production efficiency.
  • Issue materials to production lines based on work orders and ensure proper documentation.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to manage stock movement, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and JIT (Just-In-Time) inventory practices.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination

  • Work with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of raw materials.
  • Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any material shortages or quality issues.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing, lead times, and contract terms with vendors when necessary.
  • Process returns or exchanges for defective or non-conforming materials.

Production Support

  • Ensure production teams have the right materials at the right time to prevent downtime.
  • Communicate material shortages, delays, or excess inventory to production supervisors.
  • Support lean manufacturing principles by reducing waste and improving material flow.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to ensure defective materials do not enter the production process.

Data Entry & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems, updating stock levels, transactions, and purchase orders.
  • Generate reports on material usage, procurement trends, and inventory performance within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and supplier reliability.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow workplace safety regulations when handling and storing materials.
  • Ensure hazardous materials are stored and transported according to safety guidelines.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments related to material handling.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction

  • Identify areas for process improvement to reduce material waste and inefficiencies.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives, such as kanban systems, 5S, and Six Sigma.
  • Suggest cost-saving opportunities in procurement, storage, and transportation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, procurement, or logistics.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Must be a US Citizen



Location:

  • This position will be based in Rumford, RI

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The target salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000
