Recruitment Number 24-262KS, Facilities Manager I, SR-22, Hilo, Hawaii.Plans, directs and coordinates the maintenance of all Judiciary complexes within a judicial circuit, including the facilities of the rural courts; coordinates the custodial, groundskeeping, and building maintenance services; and performs other related duties as required.Education Requirement: Graduation from high school. Excess experience of the type described below or work experience requiring the ability to read and comprehend and apply written directions or a high degree of verbal skill may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Specialized Experience Requirement: Six (6) years of work experience which demonstrated knowledge in one or a combination of the following types of work:
1. Facilities management.
2. Skilled trades or crafts experience in construction or maintenance projects of buildings which required the preparation and/or interpretation of plans, specifications and drawings, and the proper observance of safety measures, practices, methods, techniques, materials, costs, equipment and tools used in construction projects.
3. Procurement of a variety of supplies and equipment which included cost comparisons; and/or,
4. Developing the capital improvement plans and executing the capital improvement budget for an agency.
Supervisory Aptitude: Applicants for Facilities Manager I must have demonstrated evidence of Supervisory Aptitude. Supervisory aptitude is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects; by detail to supervisory positions; by completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments; or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.
