Position Summary
The Hawaii Credit Union League (HCUL) is currently in search of an energetic professional to serve as their Member Relations Officer. Reporting directly to the Business Services Manager, this individual will assist member credit unions in providing business partner resources available through HCUL and HCU Services Corporation. Assist member credit unions in providing business partner resources available through the League / Services Corporation. Responsible for the exhibition area at the annual convention. Assist in the administration, marketing, and servicing of business partners' products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with credit union personnel at multiple levels throughout the organization.
- Serve as a liaison between credit unions and select business partners of HCU Services Corporation.
- Introduce products and services to credit unions and assist in monitoring credit unions' participation in such programs.
- Educate credit union staff and volunteers of the benefits of League membership and encourage participation in its programs and services.
- Act in an advisory capacity when called upon by member credit unions, their volunteers, employees, and community service organization.
- Conduct field visits to member credit unions and document information in MemberClicks software.
- Responsible for all duties related to the exhibition area at the annual convention including shipping contractor research and negotiation for shipment of boxes to neighbor islands.
- Coordinate with vendors and hotel staff for the exhibition area placement of vendor and business partner booths.
- Coordination of exhibition area vendors and shipping contractor.
- Assist in analyzing reports related to credit union business partner relationships, usage rates, revenue, and recommend strategies to increase revenue and usage rates.
- Keep abreast of credit union functions, resources, programs, governmental rules, regulations, and laws that affect credit unions and their members.
- Assist in the education development of credit union management, staff, and volunteers via publications (i.e., League eMail, League News, personal visits, etc.)
and / or training.
Qualifications Requirements :
Skills / Knowledge : Requires analytical, decision making, negotiating, and human relations skills. Should be able to effectively communicate verbally (one to one as well as group presentations) and in writing. Knowledge of budgeting, sales and marketing, and financial institution operations helpful.
Experience :
Three years of progressively-responsible experience in management, sales, accounting or public relations preferably in a credit union or financial services organization.
