Security Guard - Kahuku, HI

Position Overview:
As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the high school/intermediate during school hours. You will be responsible for patrolling the campus, enforcing DOE rules, monitoring the ingress and egress of the main entrance, and responding promptly to any security incidents or emergencies that may arise.

NOTE: This listing is for a Security Officer position at Kahuku High & Intermediate School. This position is temporarily contracted until May 30, 2025, but may lead to consistent full-time work at a different location. The current shifts are from 0700 hours to 1500 hours, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to any calls for assistance.
• Complete detailed reports documenting security incidents, observations, and activities during your shift.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Valid HI Guard Card
• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is required.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
