Our studio is a welcoming space for hands-on art classes, personalized experiences, and unforgettable events.

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, customer service superstar to join our team as the Studio Manager!

This full-time position reports to the owner and oversees the daily operations of Hawaii Fluid Art, Henrico. The Studio Manager ensures an engaging, creative experience for artists while managing administrative tasks, maintaining studio facilities, and coordinating with clients and instructors. The position ensures the highest quality and safest experience for every studio customer and visitor.

Key Responsibilities :

Studio Management

Manage studio space, equipment, inventory, scheduling, maintenance, and cleanup.
Maintain an organized studio environment and adhere to safety protocols.
Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives set forth by the company.
Train and supervise studio assistants and instructors.

Customer Service and Art Instruction

Manage studio bookings and client communication, including class registration and inquiries.

Lead fun and engaging art classes for individuals and groups.

Assist artists with technical needs, providing guidance on materials and techniques.

Collaborate with owner and instructors to develop class schedules and curriculum.

Assist customers with their gallery shopping experience.

Administrative Tasks

Process payments, handle invoices, and maintain financial records.

Help develop and implement studio policies and procedures.

Coordinate marketing and promotional activities for classes and events.

Coordinate exhibition planning, including artwork installation and display.

Required Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be 21 or older

Friendly, positive, and outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal skills

Responsible self-starter and problem solver with customer service experience

Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to teach and work with children and people of all abilities and skill levels

Proficiency with computers and point-of-sale systems

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

Flexible schedule - availability and willingness to work some evenings and Saturdays

Preferred Qualifications :

Previous experience managing an art studio or gallery

Proficiency with social media marketing

Experience in teaching art classes or workshops

Knowledge of local art scene and community networks
