Key Responsibilities:
- Providing psychiatric evaluations to clients in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours.
- Understand the effects of socio-cultural-economic factors on health and illness.
- Make independent decisions based on evidence-based protocols and clinical practice guidelines.
- Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
Education Requirements:
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with experience
