Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy with a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree.
- Completion of a psychiatric residency program accredited by the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
- Possession of a current license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii.
- Current registration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and a current State Controlled Substance license from the State of Hawaii Department of Public Safety's (DPS) Narcotics Enforcement Division (NED).
Candidates must also possess strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure delivery of high-quality services.
