JOB DUTIES : This position will serve as a systems analyst and as the liaison between the Information Technology Department and the users of the automated systems of the Hospitals and the HHSC Information Technology Department. This position will be located in the HHSC IT Department.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide analytical support and service to the hospitals and user departments through the functional application, technical components, and interfaces of the Hospital Information System.
Oversee and monitor the Citrix production environment.
Manage, plan, develop, and assist with updates and maintenance of software, operating, database systems, and Citrix environments.
Communicate research findings, project status, and IT activities to user and management personnel.
Prepare and maintain user documents including software policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university.
Excess experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
The education or experience background must demonstrate the ability to write clear reports, read complex materials, and solve problems logically.
EXPERIENCE : Three and one-half (3-1 / 2) years of progressively responsible work experience in information technology involving systems analysis, design programming, security and access management, database design and management, and consulting.
