Description
Job Summary :
Provide classroom instruction in a variety of music courses including, but not limited to : music theory, music foundations, music and culture, applied music, and special topics in music. Develop a syllabus and assignments that meet course objectives; conference with students, maintain records on and evaluate student performance.
This is a part time position with per course compensation :
1,150 per credit hour - Doctorate
1,050 Per credit hour - Master's
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree
Minimum five years professional field related experience.
Previous successful college teaching experience
Demonstrated proficiency in area of musical expertise.

Previous successful college teaching.

Ability to network with community organizations and programs to develop partnerships for the benefit of students, faculty, and the university.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Other Qualifications :
Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy.
Able to teach classes scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends.
Able to teach classes at multiple locations on Oahu.
Successful candidate will be able to work in an environment that utilize excellent time and stress management skills.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions :
Prepare individual classes; maintain records of student progress and assign grades (72%)
Hold office hours and respond to student questions (1 hour / course) (12%)
Participate in training sessions (3%)
Perform other related duties as assigned (5%)
