Description
Job Summary :
Perform a variety of installation, repair, and maintenance tasks performed by a journeyman licensed electrician for Aquaculture Research and University facilities. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) electrical projects installations and repairs, weekly preventative maintenance and electrical safety inspections, repair and maintain electrical circuits, motor controllers, water pumps, lighting and heating systems, estimate and procure electrical and mechanical materials, and assist with on-call emergency repair service for these systems. Ensure all work performed is in accordance with established methods and procedures of the trade.

Minimum Qualifications
- A valid and current Hawaii Journeyman Maintenance Electrician license.
- Three (3) years commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- Knowledge of the current NEC regulations and ability to navigate the guidelines.
- Experience operating testing electrical equipment (i.e., volt, amp, and megger electrical meters).
- Understanding of supply power distribution service, wire, and conduit sizing.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical motors, water pumps, motor starters, relays, controllers, and power supply lines.
