About The Position
We are looking for a dynamic, creative teacher to teach Second Grade at the Village Campus. Our program is robust, and students explore reading, writing, math, science, and social studies in an interdisciplinary, holistic, challenging, and joyful environment. In addition to working with students on content and skill areas, our teachers instill our school's mission by helping students to become responsible, compassionate, globally-minded, respectful citizens. Candidates should be flexible, patient, and nurturing with children and able to work both collaboratively and independently. Candidates are well-versed in inquiry and project-based learning, and have a passion for place-based studies. They should possess knowledge and skill in integrating technology in the classroom and demonstrate a passion for learning and growth. They are excellent communicators who are ready to join and contribute to an experienced faculty and staff team.

Minimum Requirements
- BA or BS degree and elementary teaching credential
- Three years of full-time elementary classroom teaching experience in an accredited school
- Excellent, positive classroom management and communication skills to provide a safe, caring, and optimal learning environment
- Thorough understanding of elementary child development, experience planning curriculum, knowledge of current instructional practices, and ability to implement effective differentiated instruction
- Initiative to keep abreast of research-supported teaching methods and technology
- Experience in project based learning and education for sustainability
- Professional demeanor; courteous, outgoing disposition, and a positive spirit
- Ability to work productively and harmoniously in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth
- Act with integrity, ethical conduct, and confidentiality
- Able to manage time effectively and efficiently
- Required to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) in order to support second-grade experiential learning
