Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our patients while assisting in the technical aspects of optical care. This position requires a blend of technical skills and customer service abilities, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care in a clinic or retail environment. Provide patients with proper instructions on use and care of eyewear products dispensed. Be aware at all times what is happening on the sales floor.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with choosing eyewear and provide guidance on lens options and frame styles with enthusiasm.
- Provide prompt, courteous and professional service with a smile.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient information.
- Handle front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
- Prepare daily sales -Close out report and deposit ticket.
- Perform adjustments for fitting and repair of eyewear, ensuring optimal comfort for patients.
- Ensure displays are orderly, clean and stocked.
- Stay updated on optical products, technologies, and industry trends to enhance service delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience in an optical setting or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with front desk operations, retail sales, and customer service is advantageous.
- Optical retail-giving the patient a great experience.
- Experience with Optical billing systems such as Flexsys is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing optical orders and documentation.
