Guest Experience Representative, Level 1
Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve and Garden is a non-profit that is committed to the conservation of the world’s tropical plant life. We strive to educate the importance of sustainability and rainforest biodiversity to all life on Plant Earth.
The Guest Service Representative’s role is to facilitate Admissions and Memberships, promote fundraising, and be the point person for the guest experience. Guest Services Representatives serve to engage guests through all aspects of their visit and to assure quality service is delivered.
Reports to:
Retail and Customer Service Manager
Job Summary:
- Greet guest immediately.
- Educates guests about HTBG.
- Assist guests with admissions and purchases.
- Introduce our Membership/Donation program.
- Drives fundraising efforts through guest interactions.
- Operate POS/cash register system.
- Opening and closing functions.
- Cleaning & maintenance of guest areas and facilities including restrooms.
- Cleaning, stocking, and any other tasks asked by management.
- Communicate clearly with other departments.
Qualifications:
- Experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Ability to walk up steep inclines multiple times a day
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- An ability to communicate clearly.
- An ability to take directions.
- Experience operating registers/POS.
- Ability to multitask
- Familiarity with computers and ability to operate basic applications.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a consistent basis and multiple times a days.
