Position Summary
The Administrator, Workers Compensation is responsible for the effective administration of company and departmental policies and procedures and ensures compliance with all State and Federal laws as it relates to Workers’ Compensation, ADA and other leave of absence issues.
This position will last until September 2025. Note that no relocation assistance is available for this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Administration of Workers Compensation and other leave of absence issues, such as ADA reasonable accommodation related to occupational injuries
- Provides support to employees through continued communication and follow-up to questions and paperwork
- Acts as a liaison between claims adjusters, nurse case managers, department managers, and employees and works with the Leave Management team to develop claims strategy
- Administers and monitors return to work program
- Monitors salary continuance and provide input on occupational injury claims
- Manages time sensitive medical documentation to ensure proper status changes and operational coverage
- Recommends procedure, policy, manual and training enhancements based on knowledge and experience
- Helps identify and develop solutions to address issues and trends in Workers Compensation program
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
- Participates in special projects
- Other duties as assigned or directed
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources or office administration experience
- PC literate with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
- Proven ability to handle fast-paced environment, multiple priorities and a track record for getting results.

- Willing to travel occasionally and work beyond regular office hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with third party service providers and all levels of employees

- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- Workers’ Compensation administration experience
- Hawaiian Airlines is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT - regulation, 49 CFR part 40) and all applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine), and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into a safety-sensitive position.
