Position Summary

The Technical Specialist – Quality Systems is responsible for supporting Quality Systems department efforts, processes, and projects. They are responsible for the monitoring, developing and implementation of processes and systems to ensure successful sale and lease return of airplane, engine and component that meets the lessor’s return conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present briefs, presentations, statistics and analysis of data related to all 3 sections of Quality Systems’ department (Aircraft Records, Compliance Systems Management, and M&E Policies and Procedures) for an audience at Director and VP level
  • Support department’s efforts and projects with technical knowledge and data analysis
  • Conduct research using the different M&E IT systems (TRAX, FLYdocs, SKYwise)
  • Support the integration of maintenance records for incoming aircraft into the system(s) of record
  • Support the technical record and documentation of aircraft, engine and components return and sale
  • Develop and provide accurate reporting of maintenance and records critical items linked to aircraft, engines and components sale and lease return
  • Develop processes and implement systems to ensure successful lease returns that meet the lessor’s return conditions
  • Coordinate with other M&E departments to ensure configuration control of aircraft components critical to sales and lease return
  • Support sales and lease return efforts by coordinating with service providers and contractors
  • Update policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement of organization management of leased aircraft, engines and components
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Director – Quality Systems

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent related working experience
  • 3 years of aviation experience with FAR 121 and/or Part 145, or military equivalent, in the field of aircraft Technical Records, Maintenance, Engineering, or Quality Assurance
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to summarize complex technical matters
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Possesses a contagious, positive attitude – creatively finds a way to get things accomplished without compromising on safety and efficiency. Takes a proactive approach in finding a better way of doing things. Cultivates a continuous improving culture within his/her team
  • Must be able to travel, work flexible hours and work beyond regular hours, including weekends and holidays and non-traditional hours
  • Able to possess an AOA badge
  • This position is considered as an essential worker, required to work on-site to support Tech Ops and available for field assignments as required
