What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restoration Apprentice position at Hawaiian Building Maintenance?
Hawaiian Building Maintenance has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We currently perform Janitorial Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC and Maintenance Services for numerous commercial, retail and residential properties on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and Big Island. We are looking for a full-time Restoration Apprentice position to repair private and commercial locations. Candidates must have a valid driver license, reliable vehicle, have basic knowledge of hand tools, and willingness to learn. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, climb, bend for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 50lbs up to 70lbs up several stairs, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working alongside with the Restoration team to meet and exceed customer needs
- On the job training towards Restoration Technician position:
- Fundamentals of mitigation, understanding balance drying system, cycle metric, antimicrobial and demolition training.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver license and a reliable vehicle
- Pass background check for insurance purposes.
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to read, write, text and email.
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Keep accurate records of time cards, checkout forms, vehicle records and any job paperwork.
- Willingness to learn and improve
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm, variable
Compensation range: $17 to $18/per hour
