GENERAL SUMMARY
As a Dispatcher, you will direct and dispatch the delivery of ready-mix concrete for the present-day schedule, coordinates the schedules of future orders. Supervises, directs and controls work of all mixer drivers and plant personnel to ensure continuous and efficient delivery of material to all customers. Promotes good customer relations. This position requires second step thinking, prioritizing and sound decision making in order to meet delivery deadlines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Basic math and computer knowledge
- Familiar with Oahu streets, highways and traffic
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of experience in the concrete industry
- Business or technical degree
- ACI Level 1 Certification
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and controls delivery of ready-mix concrete for current days schedule.
- Receives orders and schedules future ready-mix concrete deliveries.
- Supervises and directs the work of batch plant operators, loader operators and ready-mix drivers.
- Communicates with the Concrete Operations Manager and Maintenance Department to ensure that equipment work orders are current.
- Utilizes all information passed from the Sales Department for maximum results.
- Processes and posts required information on delivery tickets to ensure accurate invoice billing.
- Receives and balances all transactions for COD sales.
- Consistently administers the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Always works safely and takes action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
