We are looking for an experienced Telecommunications Technician Lead to join our team at Hawaiian Telcom. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing and repairing fiber and copper services to residential and business customers.
- Discuss service needs with customers and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Instruct customers on the use of HTTV, HSI, and Telephone equipment.
- Verify proper wiring, cabling bonding, and ground installations using test equipment and power tools.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
- Ability to lift and carry tool boxes, drop wire, parts containers and installation loads.
- Exposed to adverse weather conditions, confined work areas, dust, noise, dirt, irate customers, etc.
- Overtime work may be required.
