Job Description
As a Behavior Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting students with emotional and behavioral challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining resource materials to support student learning;
Determining compliance with behavior analysis standards and implementing interventions as needed;
Consulting with teachers and other school personnel to develop strategies for addressing student behavior;
Providing ABA services, including conducting FBA and developing BIP;
Collaborating with other professionals to administer developmental and functional skills assessments;
Designing and monitoring behavioral data collection systems;
Engaging in evidence-based instructional decision-making;
Facilitating an understanding of behavior principles among school personnel, parents, and stakeholders;
Providing clinical supervision to qualified ABA paraprofessionals;
Reviewing written materials and completing performance evaluations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in behavior analysis, education, or psychology;
Three years of progressively responsible post-master's professional experience teaching, counseling, or providing therapy to individuals with emotional behavioral or mental health concerns;
A valid State of Hawaii license in Behavior Analysis issued by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs;
The ability to demonstrate aptitude or potential for supervisory duties.
