Job Description:
We're looking for a skilled Dental Assistant with expanded functions or willing to train for an EFDA to join our family. As an ideal candidate, you should be adept or coachable at providing high-quality dental assistance, have a knack for using advanced dental technology, and bring a sense of fun and positivity to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist our dentists during a range of treatment procedures, including those involving clear aligners, CBCT, CEREC, and 3D printing.
Efficiently set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment.
Take and process digital dental radiographs (x-rays).
Maintain rigorous infection control standards, including the preparation and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Give patients instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
Execute expanded functions in line with the Missouri Dental Practice Act.
Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies and the benefits of advanced treatment options.
Qualifications:
Certified as a Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions or willing to receive such certification.
Experience in a fast-paced dental setting is preferred.
Familiarity with advanced dental technology and procedures.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Current CPR certification.
Certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia is preferred but not required.
Understanding of health & safety regulations.
