Service Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be familiar with diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Assist in performing routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
• Conduct brake repairs, including air brake systems, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Service tires and perform tire repairs or replacements as needed.
• Operate industrial equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely during repair processes.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair.
• Proficiency in automotive repair techniques, particularly for heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience with brake repair systems, especially air brakes.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment operation, including cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to perform tire service tasks efficiently.
• Capability to handle heavy lifting as required by the job demands.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
