Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Person to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including electrical work, painting, and other duties. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, and the successful candidate will be expected to provide exceptional customer service and leadership to their colleagues.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
- Paint and finish surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and trim.
- Read and interpret schematics and diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical systems and logic controllers.
- Use welding equipment to repair and maintain metal structures and equipment.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including pumps, motors, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize CMMS software to track and manage maintenance requests and schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service to building occupants and visitors.
- Lead and supervise other maintenance staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Experience with CMMS software and other maintenance management tools.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing a high level of service to occupants and visitors.
Skills
- Electrical experience and knowledge of electrical systems and logic controllers.
- Experience with residential painting and finishing techniques.
- Understanding of schematics and the ability to read and interpret diagrams.
