Job Summary:
The Electrician at our scale company is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components related to weigh scales, control systems, and automated equipment. The role ensures that the electrical systems supporting the scale operations are safe, reliable, and comply with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Setup of Scale Systems:
- Install electrical wiring and control systems for scale equipment, including platform scales, truck scales, and automated weighing systems.
- Set up and calibrate electrical components in new scale systems for proper function.
- Install and connect power supplies, wiring, and control panels to scale devices and other automated systems.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in scale equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Address any electrical malfunctions or issues with load cells, sensors, or other electronic components in the scale system.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Calibration and Testing:
- Test electrical systems to verify the proper operation of scale devices and ensure accurate weight measurements.
- Calibrate weigh scales and related electronic components to ensure they meet regulatory standards and customer specifications.
Customer Interaction and Support:
- Respond to service calls from clients needing assistance with scale electrical problems.
- Provide guidance and advice on proper electrical setup and maintenance to ensure continued accuracy and performance of the scale systems.
- Offer recommendations on system upgrades or improvements based on the electrical needs of the scale equipment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, circuits, load cells, and weigh scale technologies. Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues in scale systems, including sensors, wiring, and other components.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
Working Conditions:
