Job Description:

Construct built-in-place and prefabricated wooden or steel forms used for sidewalks, turn lanes and other misc. roadway structures according to specifications. Must be able to read a tape measure, perform simple layouts, pour, puddle and vibrate concrete, tie rebar walls and cages, build, set and strip forms and have experience with compactors and other manual tamping equipment. Have an understanding of grade stakes to ensure that form-work and concrete are placed at the proper elevation is also necessary. Any experience operating heavy equipment is also beneficial.

Minimum Tool Requirements:

• Tool bag, hammer, tape measure, kleins, plumb-bob, speed square, level

Physical requirements:

• Climb and maintain balance on scaffold or walkway
• See well (either naturally or with correction)
• Distinguish colors
• Reach for, handle and grasp wires and hand tools
• Bend, crouch and work in small spaces
• Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds
• Be comfortable working at various heights

Environment is exclusively outdoors, thus job often involves all weather extremes. Work requires alert individuals with balance and physical strength. Workers must be able to lift up to 100 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on a constant basis. The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
