Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in commercial environments.
- Interact professionally with customers, providing clear explanations of issues and solutions.
- Communicate effectively with the office and customers to ensure smooth job completion.
- Understand and apply electrical codes for proper installation of all electrical devices.
- Report material needs and obstacles to the Service Manager.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and report any concerns.
- Participate in the emergency/on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED; Journeyperson license required (Maryland), DC and VA licenses preferred or can obtain one in the next 6 months
- Experience: 5 years in a electrical environment, preferably in service work.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to use power tools, ladders, and cable cutters.
- Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with electronic devices for job updates and communication.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, crawl, climb, push, pull, and reach overhead for extended periods.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid Driver License and an insurable driving record.
- Willingness to participate in emergency/on-call rotations.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
