Description
As a CNC Operator II, you will use computer-controlled machines to perform precision cutting, shaping, and drilling tasks on various materials to create high-quality parts and components. Your ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications, set up machines, and monitor the production process will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines for existing jobs and processes, adjusting machine settings, and inspecting tooling.
- Operate CNC machines to perform cutting, shaping, and drilling tasks according to the provided specifications.
- Monitor the production process, examining the output for defects and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain precision and accuracy throughout the production run.
- Troubleshoot and fix any issues that arise during the production process, such as tooling malfunctions or material inconsistencies.
- Inspect parts using a variety of precision measuring devices.
- Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure their optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address any challenges or concerns and maintain efficient workflow.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- General knowledge of G & M code and operating procedures.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to operate and set up a variety of CNC machines.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials when necessary.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
