Job Overview:
The Food Expediter plays a critical role in the kitchen, acting as a liaison between the kitchen staff and the front-of-house team. The main responsibility is to ensure that orders are prepared and presented properly, and that they are sent out in a timely manner. The expediter will help maintain the flow of food production, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and that all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Management: Organize incoming orders and communicate with kitchen staff to prioritize and ensure all items are prepared on time.
- Quality Control: Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and quality before they are sent out to customers. Ensure that all ingredients are properly portioned and meet company standards.
- Communication: Relay orders and special instructions from servers to kitchen staff, ensuring all details are followed. Be the point of contact for any order issues or adjustments.
- Timing & Coordination: Ensure that food orders are completed and delivered within the designated time frames, working closely with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff.
- Speed & Efficiency: Expedite the process of getting food from the kitchen to the dining area quickly and efficiently, reducing wait times and enhancing the guest experience.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory for food supplies, report any shortages or supply needs to the kitchen manager or chef.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the expediter station is clean, organized, and stocked with the necessary tools and supplies.

Qualifications:
