The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful,designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago’s cablecare system. We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features totheir former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, we’relooking for a brand-new Dishwasher to join our team and open our second internationalrestaurant in Chicago.

Key responsibilities of the role include :
- Operate and utilize the dish machineand cleaning supplies
- Wash, sanitize and dry all kitchenutensils, equipment and other items placed in the dish area or as requested byManagement and Staff
- Safely and effectively use and operateall necessary tools and equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate inorder to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Multitask calmly and effectively underpressure
- Work in a confined, crowded space ofvariable noise and temperature levels
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds,frequently move and / or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and / or liftup to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for anentire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which mayinclude stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
- Health & safety awareness
- Maintenance and general up keeping ofkitchen equipment
- Setup and breakdown of the generalkitchen area i.e. bins / bin room / floors / walls etc.
- A good understanding of chemicals andcleaning equipment
