Hawkswood School is searching for a temporary pediatric School Occupational Therapist to cover a leave of absence. The schedule is part time, 2 days per week for approximately 3 to 6 months. The caseload includes preschool students with multiple disabilities and elementary students on the autism spectrum. This position is available starting in February of 2025.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluate and recommend children for occupational therapy upon referral from sending district.
- Prepare current motor status and goals for students’ Individual Educational Plans.
- Schedule and administer therapy as per evaluation and treatment plan.
- Prepare Progress Reports four times per year.
- Refer to and maintain contact with other professionals where necessary.
- Maintain daily student contact records.
Competitive annual salary starting at $78,000 per year based upon degree and years of experience.

Qualifications
Certification Requirements:
Must possess or be eligible for a NJ Dept of Education certification as School Occupational Therapist and NJ license as Occupational Therapist.
Pediatric experience and experience with individuals with special needs is helpful.
