Job Overview
We are currently looking for paid Manufacturing Engineering Interns to join our team in Ludington, MI. This position will be working onsite.
Get ready for an adventurous summer as a Haworth intern! You'll join a cohort of around 50 other dynamic interns for a 12 week program packed with hands-on learning. After a few weeks you’ll be attending NeoCon, the largest commercial design event in the world. There you will get an insider's look at all the latest industry trends and innovations. Throughout the summer you will dive into real projects that will give you a taste of what it's like to work in a leading business and manufacturing environment.
Each week brings new experiences as a group. Sharpen your skills with interactive workshops on networking, public speaking, and using AI tools in a business environment. The Ludington Components plant is responsible for fabrication, paints, and packs aluminum office furniture components for distribution to Haworth dealers and customers. You have the opportunity to assist with a variety of exciting projects within the Manufacturing Plant including : working to improve the productivity in the fabrication. To do so, we would like to shorten the time needed to review component drawings to determine what dimensions require review to ensure a quality part is manufactured. Our intern will lead a project to gather drawings from our electronic system and highlight / identify the critical dimensions that require review and work with the technology team to house them in a quick access database for the production team. The intern will also be exposed to lean manufacturing principals and asked to support problem solving and action item resolution to continuously improve our business.
Required Qualifications
- Part-time or full-time college enrollment, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with at least a junior level status by Fall of 2025.
- Ability to work On-site in Ludington, MI from May 2025 to August 2025.
- Applicant must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for the position.
