We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist the delivery driver in transporting goods to various locations while ensuring a high level of customer service. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle.
- Ensure that all deliveries are made accurately and on time.
- Provide exceptional customer service during each delivery interaction.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Help with route planning and navigation to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Report any issues or discrepancies with deliveries to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating a pallet jack, forklift, or box truck is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles if required.
- Strong physical stamina to lift heavy items and perform manual labor tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
