Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and support to our dental professionals. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and the comfort of our patients.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry and prosthodontics, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Take and develop medical imaging as required for patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and assist with medical coding for insurance purposes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices.
- Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health, as well as medical documentation processes.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing exceptional patient care.
