LOAN PROCESSOR II
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for preparing loan documents as a centralized function for all loan officers. This position has contact with loan officers, credit analysts, loan operations personnel, and customers. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical aspects of this job. Work is performed within the framework of standard operating policies and procedures; however, independent judgment and discretion is required in performing assigned tasks. Deviations from normal procedures and/or questions are referred to the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare and process loans for all loan officers. This includes, but not limited to, commercial, consumer, agriculture and commercial real estate.
Prepare and process loan extensions and modifications, and forward to loan officer.
Review all loan documentation received by bank personnel prior to loan closing to ensure compliance with regulations and bank policy.
Be knowledgeable in types of collateral and documentation needed to secure to loans.
Prepare specialized loans including SBA, participations, Commercial USDA, etc.
Review other processors’ loans prior to closing.
Comply with all banking regulations, policies and procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences and workshops. Represent the bank in a variety of community activities and functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or possess a GED certification plus additional post high school education or training.
Possess a minimum of at least five years of processing experience in a commercial lending department or comparable position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have the ability to operate the following equipment: telephone, 10-key calculator, typewriter, personal computer and printer, copy machine, fax machine. Must have working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Advanced PC knowledge.

Has frequent contact with individuals in all lending departments. Has frequent contact with customers.

Valid driver’s license.
