LOAN PROCESSOR II
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of loan documents as part of a centralized processing function supporting all loan officers. This role requires regular interaction with loan officers, credit analysts, loan operations, and customers. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to exercise sound judgment are critical. Work is performed within the framework of standard operating policies and procedures; however, independent judgment and discretion is required in performing assigned tasks. Deviations from normal procedures and/or questions are referred to the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare and process a variety of loan types, including commercial, consumer, and commercial real estate loans.
Prepare and process loan extensions and modifications, route final documents to the appropriate loan officer.
Review loan documentation submitted by bank personnel prior to closing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of collateral types and the documentation required to secure loans.
Prepare specialized loan documentation, including but not limited to SBA, USDA, and participation loans.
Serve as a reviewer of loan packages prepared by other processors prior to closing.
Comply with all banking regulations, policies and procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain and enhance job-related knowledge by attending relevant seminars, conferences, and workshops. Represent the bank in community events and activities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Additional post-secondary education or job-related training preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in commercial loan processing or a comparable role within a lending department.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write clear, routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Proficient in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret basic charts or graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding in following detailed written or verbal instructions. Ability to resolve problems involving a few concrete variables in routine situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient in using standard office equipment, including telephone, 10-key calculator, personal computer, printer, copier, and fax machine. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard office software. Advanced PC knowledge.
KEY CONTACTS--Internal and External
Frequent contact with team members across all lending departments. Regular interaction with customers, requiring professionalism and discretion.
