- Participate in building level Learning Center team meetings to assist with creating plans for individual students
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for legal action
- Provide appropriate IEP related services based on assessed social/emotional needs. Provide professional social work assessments and evaluations as outlined in IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act)
- Identify, coordinate and make referrals to community resources for students, families and school programs
- Provide individual and group counseling with students when appropriate to do so in an educational setting and as time permits
- Maintain social work records; coordinate and document transfer of due process and social work records
