Job Summary
Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham - is seeking someone with excellent customer service skills to join our Front Office team. This is a Front Desk / Guest Services Position - If you are a friendly, outgoing person who enjoys helping others and solving problems then you may be the person we are looking for! Primary responsibilities include: registering guests making reservations Checkin / Check out preparing daily reports and balancing transactions. Following Wyndham Standards and procedures Opera Front Desk PMS experience preferred.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hotel experience and Opera Cloud Experience required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider adjust or modifying to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
- Must be able to work in a self-managed environment.
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Responsibilities
Job Overview: Accommodates guests of hotel by performing the following duties.
What you will be doing:
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards).
- Comply at all times with Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
- Run all reports as required
- Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
- Balance the day's work of all transactions of all outlets.
- Maintain cashiering responsibilities as per Front Office procedures according to Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham standards.
- Maintain Front Office computer system operation according to Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham standards.
- Fulfill all Front Office functions with flexible schedule days nights & weekends
- Follow up to ensure periodic checks by the security officer are made of building and guest corridors to ensure all areas are locked and secured (property specific)
- Follow safety and emergency procedures according to Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham standards.
- Be familiar with all Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham policies and house rules.
- Bring any PM Accounts to managers or supervisors' attention immediately.
- Distribute work (i.e. registration cards and pre-paid reservations deposits etc.
- Run reports according to Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham procedures.
- Handle items for Lost and Found according to the standard.
- Complete any reports as requested by management promptly.
- Attend Front Office meetings as required by management.
