What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Hawthorn Suites McAllen?
Reports to: Executive Housekeeper
Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and public areas under supervision of the housekeeper supervisor. Room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and bust be pleasant, honest and friendly.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean rooms, lounges, lobbies, bathrooms and hallways
- Vacuum and wash carpets and rugs
- Empty wastepaper baskets and ashtrays
- Transport trash to waste disposal equipment
- Dust and polish furniture
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean and tidy
- Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies and bathroom items
- Replenish amenities according to the operational standards
- Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests
- Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses
