What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor/Maintenance from 7AM-3PM position at Hawthorn Suites McAllen?
Responsible for cleaning assigned areas such as public areas, corridors, exterior, guest rooms, assisting in housekeeping laundry department, assisting in shuttles, assisting in completing work orders and assigned housekeeping and maintenance projects, meeting room set ups to Hawthorn Suites standards to ensure guest satisfaction with hotel facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cleans the daily required areas assigned to include all public restroom, back office and public areas, entrances, elevator, stairwells.
- Deep clean in public areas as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Collects exterior trash upon entry of shift and as needed.
- Communicates with the Housekeeping Department on the status of all items requiring maintenance/work order.
- Reports all room and hotel damage immediately.
- Reports all missing items from rooms in assigned area.
- Removes linen from guestroom as instructed by housekeeping during AM shift
- Assists housekeeping and breakfast department in throwing trash as necessary each shift.
- Turns all "lost and found" items in to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediately, listing the area or room number where found.
- Uses only those cleaning agents issued and mixed by the Housekeeping Supervisor
- Provides guest transportation in hotel van as requested by guests.
- Sets up meeting room events as instructed by Sales and Front Desk
- Performs other duties as requested by Maintenance Supervisor
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Works closely with housekeeping and maintenance personnel to ensure guest satisfaction.
Schedule:
Monday-Sunday : 11PM-7AM
Days off will vary during the week
