Cook Job Summary:
The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing
and providing food services to residents in a cost-efficient manner to safely
meet residents’ need in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
Cook Major
Duties and Critical Tasks:
1. Prepare and serve meals for residents and
staff in accordance with food safety regulations and within
physician’s/nutritionists’ dietary recommendations
2. Maintain high standard of food preparation,
sanitation, storage, and portion control
3. Determine food and supplies needed for daily
menus; obtain supplies in time for adequate production
4. Plan food production to coordinate with meal
serving hours so that quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved
5. Assist in scheduled cleaning duties following
established sanitary standards

Duties:
o Participates and assists in departmental
studies and projects as assigned or as may become necessary.
o Represents the facility at and participates
in meetings as required
o Assists in standardizing work methods.
o As the job description may not be
all-inclusive, the employee is expected to perform other essential functions
and duties as assigned.
Cook:
- Must be at least eighteen (18)
years old
- Knowledge of Department of Health
Rules and Regulations
- At Least 1 Year Experience in a
Related Position Required
