REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION LEVEL: |
Two years successful post high school education. |
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: |
At least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills and knowledge of strategies to support students with challenging behaviors. |
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: |
Requires hearing, hand-eye coordination, mind-eye coordination, keyboarding and telephoning. Frequent bending, twisting and floor to standing. |
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: |
Regular, reliable attendance. Experience with behavior management. Knowledge of strategies to manage behavior. Ability to use a computer for word processing and data entry. Ability to maintain confidential information. Regular contact with students with emotional, cognitive and/or conduct-related disorders. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training preferred. Discrete Trial training preferred. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Support students in alternative learning settings to control behavior and support
- Maintains student progress on behavior and achievement
- Conducts observations and collects classroom teacher forms needed for referral and reintegration
- Shares responsibility and offers assistance to co-workers.
- Provides teachers and parents with progress reports, as directed by the
- Participates in the implementation and revision of student behavior
- Supervises student activities, when
- Routes and maintains all paperwork while student is in under the teacher’s
- Help establish home-school communication concerning the
- Participates in behavior management training as required and when requested by the
- Support personal cares of students (washing hands, bath rooming, eating, )

PAY INFORMATION
Level KX, starting at $22.88 per hour - click HERE to view the salary schedule.
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTE
Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch
This position also works 1 Friday per month (see calendar for details).
0.8 FTE, 32 hours per week, 9 months
