*Job Overview*
We are a family owned manufacturing company in Tampa that has been in business
for over 60 years.
This position is for industrial labor in an aluminum foundry. Possible jobs include
grinding/ finishing, sand molding, and metal prep/pouring.
Grinder -- Once parts are cast they require sawing to remove
them from the gating where the metal was channeled to the part, and then grinding of
excess material to bring the part to a finished condition. Attention to detail, and ability
to follow instructions are required. This is a production job, must be able to stay on
task and complete work in a timely fashion.
Sand Molder -- Involves filling half a metal
frame with a special sand, compacting it, flipping it over to fill the other half, then
separating the two and removing the pattern, placing the halves back together to be
filled with molten aluminum by our ladelman.
Metal Prep -- Responsibilities are to prepare molten aluminum for for pouring,
maintain temperature, pouring of metal into sand molds, shakeout castings from
poured molds, and keeping an orderly work environment.
Industrial warehouse environment, can get hot and requires heavy lifting.
