What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pest Control Technician position at Hawx Pest Control?
The primary purpose of this role is to perform our industry leading pest management services for residential customers. You will be responsible for:
1) Identifying and eliminating pests from residential properties by conducting thorough inspections
2) Determining the type of pest infestation, applying appropriate treatments like pesticides and traps
3) Providing preventative measures to prevent future infestations, all while adhering to safety regulations and communicating with clients about pest control solutions.
Job requirements:
- Clean shaven face- for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
- Possess a state valid driver's license and undergo motor vehicle driving record check (Company vehicle and gas card provided)
Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by US)
- Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills — You'll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels
- Customer-facing experience preferred
