Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and motivated Chef de Cuisine to lead our professional culinary team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary chef to shape the culinary identity of Patterson Kitchen Bar while upholding the restaurant's standards of excellence and driving its continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a talented culinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and innovation.
  • Develop and execute creative, seasonal menus that reflect Patterson Kitchen Bar's dedication to quality and innovation.
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the food and beverage team to curate pairings that highlight our award-winning wine list.
  • Monitor and manage food costs, labor, and other operational expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Uphold the restaurant's commitment to excellence in both presentation and flavor, ensuring every dish meets the highest standards.
  • Stay informed on culinary trends and incorporate them to keep the menu dynamic and relevant.
  • Build relationships with local suppliers and purveyors to source the freshest and highest-quality ingredients.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a fine dining or upscale establishment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentorship and development.
  • A track record of menu innovation and a passion for elevating guest experiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with budget management and cost control.
  • A deep appreciation for wine and food pairings is a plus.

    Experience and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of recent Culinary experience in a high volume, full service restaurant in a LEADERSHIP ROLE.
  • Excellent Knife skills.
  • Must continuously demonstrate a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and other high-volume days and times (i.e. town festivals).
  • Ability to remain standing for 8 hours (or 100% of shift)
  • Ability to frequently move and lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to walk the property and grounds on occasion.
  • Ability to move up and down stairs regularly.
  • Ability to bend frequently and repetitively during a shift.
  • Ability to reach and lift overhead.
  • Ability to remain bent over a sink / tub for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to use repetitive manual dexterity.
  • Ability to move quickly based on guest needs.
  • Ability to frequently communicate and exchange accurate information effectively.
  • Ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
  • May be subject to successful completion of background check and / or DMV check.
