Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electric Motor and Generator Technician to join our team. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established company in a hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with electric motors and generators, performing repairs, maintenance, and rewinding services for a variety of motor types.
Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, inspect, and repair electric motors
- Rewind electric motors of various sizes and specifications
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of motor components
- Ensure all work meets company standards and industry regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Provide high-quality customer service through timely and efficient repairs
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Strong knowledge of repair techniques (rewinding experience a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with motor testing and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Ability to travel occasionally for field Service Calls
- Clean driving record and Alaska State Driver’s License
- Additional consideration for AK Electrical Fitness Card holder
