Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of patient care, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality patient outcomes, compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment among nursing staff. The Nurse Manager will also be responsible for implementing best practices in patient care and maintaining efficient operations within the department.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and patient safety standards.
- Oversee daily clinical operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and administrative staff to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (CMS, AAAHC, Joint Commission, etc.).
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve clinical performance and quality of care.
- Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment maintenance.
- Provide staff training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Assist in budget management and cost control initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between nursing staff and administration to promote a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Idaho (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in a surgical or ambulatory setting.
- Previous leadership or management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements for ambulatory surgery centers.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork and maintain high staff morale.
